My 5 Step Formula to Reboot Your Organic Facebook Engagement in 2022


For many small business owners, upkeeping their engagement rate on Facebook has been extremely difficult recently.


Thankfully, with the right tactics, you can boost your brand's engagement rate in no time! Here are the 5 steps I recommend you follow to bring your engagement rate back to life.


1. Create valuable content


Before you even look for tactics to boost your engagement rate on Facebook, you need to audit your content. A simple question you can ask yourself is…


Does my content provide any sort of value to my audience?


Whether your content pillars revolve around education or inspiration, delivered value through your content and will help your audience engage with your brand.

2. Use scroll-stopping visuals


Listen, Facebook is still a visual platform. If your content isn’t stopping your audience from scrolling, then it’s very difficult to get them to engage with your post. And that's the case no matter how much value your posts provide. That being said, make sure your visual content is up to par!


3. Have a clear ask from your audience


With every post you publish on Facebook, make sure you include a call-to-action in your caption. Whether you want your audience to share your post, leave a comment, sign-up for your newsletter, or anything else of that sort, you need to tell your audience what you want them to do after they’ve consumed your content.


4. Optimize your posting schedule


Make sure you’re posting your content consistently and at the best times. Consistency will help you build momentum with your audience and set expectations for when they can see your content on their feed. As for the best times, you want to push out content when it has the most chances of making its way to the top of your audience's feed.


5. Interact with your audience


Whenever you have a post go up on Facebook, make sure to engage with all of the people who leave comments. They’re all genuinely interested in your brand and could be future customers or repeat customers.


This 5-step formula is my go-to way to reboot engagement for my small business clients who want to crush their Facebook game. The best part is that while Facebook may have changed a lot throughout the years, the core of what makes a Facebook post an engaging one is still the same.
