How to Schedule Instagram Stories and Posts in Business Suites

Let’s be honest: you don’t want to set an alarm on your phone to remember when to post something on your social media accounts. And the last thing you want to do is drop everything you were in the middle of doing just to post!


Luckily, Facebook is aware of this pain point and introduced a fantastic cool that will make your life easier: Facebook’s Creator Studio!


Let’s go through how you can use this tool, together.


Schedule Instagram Content in Facebook’s Creator Studio


Here’s how you can post content and stories for your Instagram page through Facebook’s Creator Studio:


  1. Before you do anything else, link your Instagram page to your Facebook Creator Studio. You can learn how to set this up here.

  2. Once you enter the Creator Studio, click on “Create a Post” on the top-right corner of the page. You will be prompted to choose between posting an IGTV or an Instagram Feed post. At this point, a window will open up.

  3. Click on upload a file. This is where you will select the piece of content you want to publish. Facebook’s Creator Studio also makes it possible for you to slightly edit your file ( such as resizing the picture).

  4. Write out your caption and any hashtags.

  5. Click the arrow on the right side of the "Publish" button and select “Schedule”. Pick the time and date you want your post to go out… and voilà!

  6. BONUS: Before you schedule your Instagram post, you can check off that little box that says “ Post to Facebook”. It will allow you to schedule for both platforms at the same time, but you’ll only have to input your content once. Sweet, right?!


Schedule Instagram Stories in Facebook’s Business Suite


As for scheduling stories for your Instagram page, here’s how you can do it through the Business Suite. However, I'd like to note that this feature is not available for all accounts… yet!

  1. Make your way towards the Business Suite and click on “Stories” on the left-hand side of the screen.

  2. Click on Create Story. There will be a new section that appears where you can upload content to.

  3. Upload your story.

  4. Edit your story if you need to (such as cropping or adding text).

  5. When you’re happy with how the story looks, click on “Schedule Story” and select the time and date you want the story to go out.
